ELB Partners have begun taking delivery of a fleet of Volvo FL 18-tonners, featuring Lawrence David XL-rated curtainsided bodies that have helped the London-based haulier’s achieve their highest ever specification of vulnerable road user safety kit.
These new vehicles for ELB Partners feature five cameras, including one on the driver’s side covering the blind spot, and a transparent panel just behind the driver’s shoulder to ensure maximum visibility for other road users and especially cyclists.
All this plus the intelligent design of Lawrence David’s curtainsiders, manufactured to the exacting TUVEN12642XL certificate and featuring exclusive StrapSafe roof-mounted load securing systems, ensure that ELB Partners will be the proud owners of some of the most top-of-the-range vehicles for years to come.
With Dhollandia tuckaway tail-lifts for quick turnarounds and efficient loading areas, as well as LED side marker lamps and slip-resistant phenolic coated flooring, these are some of Lawrence David’s best trailers and they are proud to have partnered with ELB Partners.
“The issue of cycle safety remains a hot potato but we are confident we are doing our bit,” ELB Partner’s MD Peter Eason told Commercial Motor.
The silver Fors member will put these new vehicles into use on its Pallet-Track work in London, home to the nation’s largest cycling community.
